Capaciteitsberekening vetafscheider op grond van soort keuken
Capacity calculation grease separator based on type of kitchen
This calculation is based on the European standard NEN-EN 1825-2. This method allows you to calculate the capacity (Nominal Size) of the separator by type of kitchen and meat processing. For each type of kitchen or meat processing, fill in the amount of meals or the amount of meat to be processed. With an assumption of the flow rate you can calculate the capacity.
For 3 factors, the calculation table already contains predetermined values: ft impedient factor for the temperature of influent, fd density factor for the relevant grease/oil and fr is the impedient factor for the influence of cleansing and rinsing agents. Using the tables in the NEN-EN 1825-2 you can adjust these values.
Values for ft
- ft = 1 for waste water ≤ 60 °C
- ft = 1.3 for waste water > 60 °C
Values for fd
- fd = 1 for waste water from kitchens, slaughterhouses and meat and fish processing industries
When the oil or fat is known, you can use Figure 1 and Annex B of NEN EN 1825-2 fd.
Values for fr
- fr = 1 when not using cleaning products
- fr = 1.3 when sometimes or always using cleaning products
- fr ≥ 1.5 in special cases such as hospitals
- * 1 GV = 1 cow or 2.5 pigs
The Nominal Size, or the flow capacity in litres/second, determines the size of the separator.
