Businesses have to deal with the environment. The Establishments and activities Decree BES (IAB BES) and the Ministrial regulation establishments and activities BES (RIA BES) lays down environmental rules for all businesses in the Caribbean Netherlands.
Notification type II companies now possible on Bonaire
New environmental rules for businesses in Bonaire, St Eustatius and Saba into force on 1 April 2024
On Bonaire, an environmental survey will start on 26 September 2023. The survey identifies the measures and environmental facilities that businesses have taken to reduce or eliminate the potential for negative effects of environmental pollution.
The date for entry into force of the Establishments and Activities Decree BES (IAB BES) and the Ministrial regulation establishments and activities BES (RIA BES) has been set. The decree and the ministrial regulation shall enter into force on 1 April 2024.
