Notification type II companies is now possible on Bonaire
Since Monday 25 November 2024, it is possible for type II companies on Bonaire to submit a notification online. The new online notification form was launced by Director General of the Environment and International Affairs Afke van Rijn of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management and commissioner Abraham.
When to notify
If you have a type II company, you have to submit a notification. Also you have to notify when you start or change your company's activities. To determine whether your company is a type II company, you can go through the listed activities in annex 1 of the Establishments and Activities Decree BES by completing the online notification form.
How to notify
You can notify your company by completing the online notification form. After you have sent the notification form, you will receive a confirmation and an initial inspection will be carried out by the Supervision & Enforcement Directorate Bonaire. If a permit is required, the Spatial Planning & Development Department will contact you for further processing.
Notification by sector
The public entity of Bonaire has chosen to introduce the notification step by step. This means that if you have a type II company in the catering, hotel or the construction sector, you can submit a notification from today. This also applies if you start a type II company. Existing type II companies in all other sectors will be informed by the public entity Bonaire on a date yet to be specified when to submit a notification.
